Waterworld: Under the Surface with Elena Kalis

Elena Kalis was born in Moscow, Russia but she’s been living on a small island in the Bahamas with her husband and two children for over 10 years. She is deeply influenced by the Bahamian culture, people and nature.

Elena always admired the ocean. After taking a couple of photos underwater a few years ago, she was hooked. She uses a Canon 5D Mrk2 camera with an Ikelite housing. Some of her beautiful images have been used for book, magazine and CD covers.

Wow! There’s a wonderful beauty to these photos. I really like the quality of these, the peaceful looks on the models as their hair floats in the water. And a fun one with the boy eating the watermelon underwater.
