This is the kind of movie of which you can’t get enough, even if your child wants to watch it a hundred times in a row. Not that I have much experience of that. Not yet anyways.
How to train your dragon is about a young boy, who’s struggling to be expected by the people around him, including his own father. And is there a better way to do that than kill one of the viscous dragons terrorizing their village? Maybe there is…
The lovely story is based on the book by Cressida Cowell. Her characters have vibrant personalities with real feelings and everyday problems. It is really refreshing.
Watching this movie, you can get a taste of the great confusion of trying to be a good parent and one or two good advices as well.”You can’t stop him, only prepare him.” I’d like to believe that it works. But does it?
Well, after all those shenanigans it seems if we want to stay alive we should keep on learning till our last breath and just be ourselves. Sounds fair enough.
And now, ladies and gentleman, here are some funny quotes, a trailer, awesome snapshots from the movie and a sneak peek at the concept art created by P.O. Vincent and the DreamWorks Animation team. Enjoy!
“This is Berk. It’s twelve days north of Hopeless and a few degrees south of Freezing to Death. It’s located solidly on the Meridian of Misery. My village. In a word? Sturdy. And it’s been here for seven generations, but every single building is new. We have fishing, hunting, and a charming view of the sunset. The only problems are the pests. You see, most places have mice or mosquitoes. We have dragons.”
“This is Berk. It snows nine months out of the year, and hails the other three. What little food grows here is tough and tasteless. The people that grow here, even more so. The only upsides are the pets. While other places have ponies or parrots… we have dragons.”
